These are fantastic. I love nature. It is always so beautiful. Makes me want to live in the mountains or in a valley. A friend showed me a picture of when her and her family went to Switzerland. They were in the valley. The mountains above them reached so high. It was breath taking.
Mount St Helens postcard is so cool. Do you remember when it blew its lid? Wowz!
Part of me wants to visit Mount St Helens, part of me wants to stay far, far away. It would be fascinating, I think. There was an article in NG a few years ago that talked about the return of wildlife in the lake and surrounding areas and what has changed/improved in the years since the eruption. *check it out*
Meanwhile in Japan an article posted yesterday about Mt. Fuji possibly erupting. It would be seen as a result of 2011's earthquake. One of the surrounding lakes has gone up a meter as a result of snow melting. @__@
If you can see a close up of Mt Fuji you can see the result of the 1707 eruption from the blow out. There is a little "hill" on its side.
